Since we’re talking about Havasupai on here, the waterfalls aren’t the only jaw dropping features in the area. The hikes between falls and all the way to the Colorado River are just unreal. 9/29/18

Not a great hike

20km hike this past Saturday in the Matobo. Lot harder than it seems,,, Matobo terrain is tough and rugged. Lots of scrambling climbing over and under obstacles with some steep ascents and decent. My first hike to this cave and now I understand why so many people fail to find it. So easy to miss the arrows and cairns. We got lost plenty and done loads of back tracking. At first we agreed not to use the drone, (it’s cheating) but after some hours lost we needed a birds eye view and sent the drone into the sky to look for the cave. We still could not see the cave from the air. We then decided to head towards what looked like a cave and to our dismay,,,no cave. Alec then spotted a feature that he recognized from his previous climb and we finally found the amazing Inanki Cave.
In the cave we found a Geocache pod which was interesting,,, the pod was left in the cave 2004 and seven years later 2011 it was found signed and hidden again. It was then signed in 2012 and only found again 2019. We signed the Geocache and have hidden it back in the cave where we had found it.
If you plan on hunting this Geocache take some paper and a pen,,, not much space to sign your name and some extra paper will be great. And then,,, hide it again in the same spot. Not so sure about the rules of Geocaching we just some how seem to find secret Geocaches on our adventures. #trekking#outdoors #getoutdoors
